Bagpipes & Ballet Wedding at Loseley Park: Shabana & Barry

Bagpipes, kilts, ballet dancers, a wide variety of musical acts and a gorgeous couple in a beautiful venue – this wedding had it all! Loseley Park near Guildford in Surrey is a stunning location, with breathtaking walled gardens and probably the best natural light we’ve ever seen in the Great Hall where the ceremony took place. After the ceremony, the newlyweds took a tour of the grounds in a vintage Rolls Royce, before joining their guests at the pagoda. A jazz duo accompanied the reception, and this was the perfect choice, as the gentle, lazy music wafted through the gardens and added a magical touch to the atmosphere. One of the highlights of the evening was the amazing ballet performance, which was a pleasant surprise to all the guests, and such fun to film :) Days like this are why we love what we do so much, and it’s an honour to create a beautiful wedding film  for such a cool couple :)

We wish Shabana and Barry the very best of luck for their future together. They were clearly made for each other and there will be many happy years ahead!

Enjoy a wonderful taste of Surrey, with a Scottish twist :)

Singing Waiters Wedding at Coltsfoot: Claire & Tim

An absolutely stunning wedding at the Coltsfoot country retreat in Hertfordshire, Claire and Tim’s big day had all the ingredients to make an amazing film. The couple were gorgeous, the venue was perfect, the vicar of St Peter’s Church in Tewin had a great sense of humour and had everyone laughing (mostly at Tim’s expense), and the guests were all up for a laugh but were equally moved by the powerful and heartfelt speeches. The words “special day” really applied. Tears of joy, tears of emotion, and we were honoured to be part of it. Alex Buchanan (from BBC’s “The Voice”) sang his heart out and wowed the guests, but an even bigger surprise was the appearance of the Singers in Disguise from Soprano Bella. The guests had no clue what was going on, when the head chef began to sing an amazing opera number, then his performance was followed by another operatic song from the venue manager, and finally one of the guests stood up and began to belt out “Valerie” by Amy Winehouse. All three “singers in disguise” were professional performers hired for the wedding, and the reaction of the crowd as one surprise followed another was priceless. The final tune, Nessun Dorma, blew everyone away, as you can clearly see at the end of the wedding film.

Trust me, this is not to be missed. Enjoy :)

Greek / Jewish Wedding at Sopwell House: Georgie & Darren

Georgie and Darren’s wonderful Greek-Jewish wedding in Hertfordshire was an enthralling and emotional experience for everyone who attended. We’ve had the privilege of filming and photographing a lot of weddings involving mixed cultures, and as Darren said on the day, Jewish and Greek was a great combination – both cultures uniting in their love of hummus :) As you’d expect, these guys knew how to dance, so we captured some amazing footage, and everywhere we looked there were smiles, especially on the faces of the kids in attendance as they were carried shoulder-high on the dance floor. Georgie looked stunning, and the expression on Darren’s face as she walked down the aisle encapsulated his delight and pride at seeing his true love. The couple’s gorgeous children were a theme on the day, and we chose to focus on Darren’s speech as he addressed the kids and spoke of his feelings for their mum. His words were beautiful and heartfelt, and when you watch the film you’ll be moved by the passion and sincerity of his speech. Both the civil ceremony and reception were in the magnificent Sopwell House, near St Albans in Hertfordshire.

English / Polish Wedding at Great Fosters: Maggie & Dan

Maggie and Dan’s beautiful English-Polish wedding in Surrey was a wonderful occasion, with a horse-drawn carriage, doves and even a pet tortoise who had his own table at the wedding breakfast! It was a coming together of two families and two cultures, and there was a lot of warmth between the Polish and English contingents. When Dan gave a speech in Polish, the room erupted in applause. The service at the Assumption of our Lady Roman Catholic church in Englefield Green was followed by a reception at Great Fosters in Egham, which is a magnificent venue with really great staff and stunning gardens. Their wedding photographer was the inimitable Roger Brown, who is a class act and always fun to work with :)

Ice Cream Wedding at Newick Park: Suzanne & Phil

I had the great honour of filming Suzanne and Phil’s wonderful wedding at Newick Park in Sussex last summer. The bride and groom were the coolest people to work with, and their family and friends made the day even more special. Lots of adorable kids, a few tears, plenty of ice cream and so much love. Beautiful Sikh Wedding in Gravesend: Harrie & Mike

Harrie & Mike are an awesome couple, who share the same dry, mischievous sense of humour. Their wedding at the magnificent Gravesend Gurdwara last summer was the coming together of two cultures, English and Indian, and there was so much warmth between the two families. Such a beautiful occasion!
