We’re very proud to announce that Pretty in White has won the Wedding Industry Experts award for Best Wedding Videographer in London for 2012. As well as winning the title of Best London Videographer, we also came second in the categories of top 10 filmmakers in the UK, and were rated in the top 10 wedding video producers in the world. We’re delighted to have received so much support from friends and clients, as we genuinely do strive to be among the best producers of cinematic wedding videos in the UK and create the most amazing “fine art” films for our couples. And it’s great to see the wedding movie industry as a whole achieve more recognition. There are some really beautiful films being produced now, and they are getting better every year. The more people who realise the choices that are available, the better. We’re looking forward to showing off some wonderful, unique and creative wedding highlights and feature films in the coming weeks and months! It’s been a fantastic year for Pretty in White, so stay tuned :)
Of course, “best” is a subjective term. There is no quality scale and there are certainly other companies, especially in America, who do fabulous work and offer a bespoke, luxury product which has all the production values of a Hollywood movie. We think we’ve done our job if our clients absolutely love their films and can rewatch them in the years to come with a goofy smile on their face. And maybe a tear or two.
Really, it’s all about you. However delighted we are with the increased recognition this award has given us, what really drives us is not the acclaim of other industry professionals, but the reaction of our clients. You all mean the world to us, truly. If you can enjoy your wedding film again 20 years or more after you’re married, perhaps with a few kids sitting next to you, and all the memories and emotions of your big day come flooding back, then we’ll be over the moon. Feel free to drop us a line when that day comes :)
Weddings are beautiful. It is such an honour to be there on such a perfect day, perhaps the best day of a couple’s lives, and we get to record all the joy and emotion that goes with it. As filmmakers, there is no better job.

Congratulations to the other contestants, especially our friend James Heffernan from Funky Pixel, who won the titles of Best Wedding Photographer in London and Best Wedding Photographer in the UK, which is an amazing achievement.
You can see the full list of finalists for every wedding category here.
Congratulations – I hope next year gets better and better for you!
If you’d ever like to share one of your wedding films on English Wedding Blog, let me know!
I’m also very keen to raise the profile of wedding films with UK brides and grooms. The big emotions and little moments; voices breaking as vows are said, and the heartfelt words in wedding speeches just can’t be captured in any other way. I wish everyone could have a wedding film to remember their big day by.
Again – congratulations :)
Thank you so much, it’s been a wonderful year indeed and it’s not quite over yet! Lots of amazing weddings ready to be edited, so I’ll be sure to drop you a line when I have something for you. Take care and thanks for dropping by :)
