English / Polish Wedding at Great Fosters: Maggie & Dan

Maggie and Dan’s beautiful English-Polish wedding in Surrey was a wonderful occasion, with a horse-drawn carriage, doves and even a pet tortoise who had his own table at the wedding breakfast! It was a coming together of two families and two cultures, and there was a lot of warmth between the Polish and English contingents. When Dan gave a speech in Polish, the room erupted in applause. The service at the Assumption of our Lady Roman Catholic church in Englefield Green was followed by a reception at Great Fosters in Egham, which is a magnificent venue with really great staff and stunning gardens. Their wedding photographer was the inimitable Roger Brown, who is a class act and always fun to work with :)

Ice Cream Wedding at Newick Park: Suzanne & Phil

I had the great honour of filming Suzanne and Phil’s wonderful wedding at Newick Park in Sussex last summer. The bride and groom were the coolest people to work with, and their family and friends made the day even more special. Lots of adorable kids, a few tears, plenty of ice cream and so much love. What more could you ask for?

Beautiful Sikh Wedding in Gravesend: Harrie & Mike

Harrie & Mike are an awesome couple, who share the same dry, mischievous sense of humour. Their wedding at the magnificent Gravesend Gurdwara last summer was the coming together of two cultures, English and Indian, and there was so much warmth between the two families. Such a beautiful occasion!

Chic-Geek Wedding at The Lawn: Pez & Storme

I had the great honour of photographing Pez and Storme’s wedding at The Lawn in Rochford, Essex recently. Two beautiful brides, a long flowing tailcoat, a ridiculously frilly white dress and the most wonderfully ornate bouquets ever. This was a chic-geek wedding with lots of cute little details, heartfelt emotions, mad dancing (spot the Gangnam Style!) and the coolest bunch of people in attendance :)

Indian / Swedish Sikh Wedding in London: Rozina & Nikke

This summer I had the very great honour of filming Rozina and Nikke’s amazing Swedish / Indian Sikh wedding in Southall, London. Two beautiful people, amazing family and friends, and lots of happy memories made for a beautiful wedding film. Wishing you guys all the best :)

Nick did a great job as second shooter, capturing the groom’s preparations in the morning and other angles and scenes throughout the day. We also had the pleasure of working with photographers Declan and James, who produced some really stunning images.

W.I.E. Awards, Best Wedding Videographer in London 2012

We’re very proud to announce that Pretty in White has won the Wedding Industry Experts award for Best Wedding Videographer in London for 2012. As well as winning the title of Best London Videographer, we also came second in the categories of top 10 Videographers in the UK and top 10 Videographers in the world. We’re delighted to have received so much support from friends and clients, as we genuinely do strive to be among the best wedding videographers in the UK and produce the most amazing wedding films for our couples. And it’s great to see the wedding film industry as a whole achieve more recognition. There are some really beautiful wedding videos being produced now, and the more people who realise the choices that are available, the better. We’re looking forward to showing off some wonderful, unique and fun wedding highlights in the coming weeks and months! It’s been a fantastic year for Pretty in White, so stay tuned :)

Congratulations to the other contestants, especially our friend James Heffernan from Funky Pixel, who won the titles of Best Wedding Photographer in London and Best Wedding Photographer in the UK, which is an amazing achievement.

London Engagement Shoot Pez & Storme

Pez and Storme are getting married in October, so the recent glorious weather was the perfect opportunity to arrange an engagement shoot. What better way to spend an afternoon than fun, frolics and ice cream in the heart of London?

As you can see, both brides looked chic and stunning, and are the cutest couple imaginable. Pez and Storme were great in front of the camera and I’m so looking forward to photographing their wedding in a few weeks’ time.

We stayed for the sunset. I think it was worth it :)

Harrow Wedding Photography Natalie & Charlie

I had the pleasure of working with Natasha Thompson recently (http://www.natashathompson.co.uk). Natasha is a very talented wedding photographer based in Milton Keynes, working in a reportage style. It’s always better to have two photographers covering large weddings, so nothing is missed and all the details, moments and planned shots can be captured. This was a Catholic service, which means the “kiss” can happen at any moment, depending on the whim of the minister, but I’ve never missed the kiss shot yet, even when it comes out of the blue, and this time was no exception :) The service was in Our Lady & St Thomas of Canterbury, in Harrow, Northwest London. I’ve shot in this church before, and it’s very pretty, as well as accommodating for photographers.

Any pre-wedding nerves that the bride and groom may have had soon disappeared. As Natalie was helped into her beautiful dress by her mum and bridesmaids, she looked absolutely stunning, and her infectious smile put everyone around her at ease.

Natalie and Charlie had obviously spent a long time planning their celebrations, as the flowers, decorations and personal touches were everywhere. At the reception in The Great Barn in Ruislip, everything looked amazing, and the barn itself was perfect for photography, with great light and atmosphere.

Focus on Imaging

Last Wednesday I went to “Focus on Imaging” (aka Camera Nerd Heaven!) at the NEC in Birmingham. As well as offering a sneak peak at all the newest gadgets and gizmos, there were some great products specifically for wedding photographers and film makers. I was there to check out the latest options for DVD cases, prints, stationery and albums and I wasn’t disappointed. We’ll be offering some really stunning products in the near future, from high end wedding albums with unsurpassed print quality and beautiful covers, to the best classic and modern framed prints and canvases. I can’t wait to order some samples! I took my camera out for a spin and here’s some pics – including the obligatory models of course :)

London Wedding Photographer Shoot

So last week I met up with fellow wedding photographers James and Kari for a “shoot swap” – in fact Kari took the pic of me in the “about” section of prettyinwhite.com. We all needed pics for our web sites, so we mixed coffee, shooting and chit chat to make for a fab afternoon in the sunshine by the river Thames. We’re normally hiding behind our cameras, so it was interesting to experience life in front of the lens! We got really lucky with the weather. Lovely sun flare action! Can’t wait for the summer to kick in : ) Here are some of the pics I took (the first one is a photo Kari took of me – look at that deep concentration!)
